About Brett A.
Brett A. Cole earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law, completing his J.D. in 2014 after attending the program beginning in 2011. Before turning to law, he studied Recording Industry Management at Middle Tennessee State University and received his B.S. in 2005. The combination of a technical undergraduate program and a traditional law education shaped a practical approach to legal problem solving.
Cole began his legal career soon after law school and moved into firm leadership quickly. In 2015 he took on the role of Managing Lawyer at BAC Law. That position placed him squarely in charge of both case work and the daily operations of a small firm. He has spent the intervening years balancing client matters and administrative duties.
His professional practice is grounded in the rules and procedures of Tennessee law, the jurisdiction in which he is licensed to practice. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in courtroom settings. He approaches disputes with attention to detail and a preference for clear, practical solutions rather than theoretical arguments when a client’s objectives call for them.
Cole’s undergraduate training in the recording industry gives him familiarity with the business and contractual side of creative fields. He draws on that background when evaluating contracts and business arrangements, and he uses it to translate technical terms into issues that matter to clients. That combination of business-minded and legal training informs the way he handles client communication and case strategy.
Since assuming management duties at BAC Law, Cole has overseen case flow, client intake, and internal processes while continuing to serve clients directly. His role requires him to alternate between the detail work of legal advocacy and the broader responsibilities of running a practice. He currently practices at BAC Law, handling the firm’s legal work and managerial responsibilities in Tennessee.
