He has been practicing law for over 30 years, serving clients throughout the Oakland area and the broader Northern California region.
Mr. Kernan earned his Juris Doctor degree from the New College of California School of Law, where he graduated in 1994. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at New College, he was actively involved in various legal clinics and externships, gaining practical experience in real estate and family law matters.
Mr. Kernan concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate law and family law. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving property disputes, landlord-tenant issues, divorce proceedings, child custody, and spousal support.
