About Brenda
Brenda Moses has spent more than three decades in and around the law. She trained in New York and Vermont, then took that training into private practice and legal education in Virginia.
Her formal legal education began at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she completed her J.D. in 1992 and served on the Law Review while working as a graduate teaching assistant. She pursued further study at Vermont Law School, earning a Master of Studies in Law in 1993. Earlier undergraduate work took place at the University of Rochester, where she completed a B.A. in 1982.
Moses's professional path took shape in the early 2000s. She was a partner at Montgomery and Moses, P.C., beginning in 2001. A few years later she established The Moses Law Office, listed as her practice in 2004. Over the years she has combined casework with teaching and association involvement. Since 2016 she has served as an instructor for Virginia Insurance Continuing Education courses, teaching topics to insurance professionals and attorneys in Virginia.
She maintains long-standing memberships in several professional organizations. She joined the New York State Bar Association in 1993. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar's Workers' Compensation Section, a connection recorded from 2001 onward. Her membership in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association dates to 2010. Those affiliations reflect a steady engagement with peers and the continuing legal education system in two states.
On the case side, Moses has concentrated her practice on matters that intersect with workplace injury and insurance law. Her experience spans representation and counseling in workers' compensation matters and related civil litigation. She has combined courtroom work, client counseling, and classroom instruction across her career. Colleagues and clients have noted her steady presence in state bar and trial lawyer groups over many years.
She remains in active practice and teaches Virginia insurance continuing education courses. Her current practice concentrates on workers' compensation and related civil litigation.
