About Brandon U.

Brandon U. Luna built his path to law through a steady climb from undergraduate study in California to a J.D. in Denver. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1996, then moved to Colorado to complete his law degree at the University of Denver in 2001. Those years shaped a practice grounded in state-level work and local institutions.

After law school, Luna entered public service. He served as a deputy district lawyer in the District Lawyer’s Office of the 19th Judicial District in Colorado beginning in 2005. That role put him in courtrooms and into the workflows of local prosecution and district-level advisory work. The experience provided day-to-day trial work and procedural responsibilities that would inform his later practice.

Luna spent a period in private practice following his time in the district office. In 2012 he worked as an associate at Kennedy Childs P.C., an experience that broadened his exposure to civil practice and client counseling. The following year he took on a leadership role at his own firm. In 2013 he became partner and owner of Luna Law LLC, moving into firm management while continuing to carry client matters.

Outside the office, Luna has taken on board responsibilities at local nonprofit organizations. He was a director at A Kids Place from 2007 through 2012. He then held a board-seat at The Dolphin House for a period spanning 2012 to 2013. Those positions placed him in governance roles and community-facing work tied to local services for children and families.

Throughout his career Luna has maintained ties to Colorado law. He is listed as practicing in the state and his roles—both public and private—have centered on Colorado courts and clients. His move to firm ownership shifted his daily work toward firm operations alongside client representation.

Colleagues describe a practitioner comfortable in court and in the office. He has handled matters that require courtroom preparation, client advising, and the administrative work of running a small firm. His record shows movement between public service and private practice over two decades.

His current work is based at LunaLaw, LLC, where he practices in Colorado. His current practice focuses on advising and representing clients in matters arising under Colorado law.
