About Brandon M.

Brandon M. Hewitt took a steady, traditional path into the law. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University in 2004 and completed his Juris Doctor at Wayne State University Law School in 2007. Those years in Michigan shaped the professional networks he still draws on today.

After law school, Hewitt joined the professional ranks that align with courtroom practice. He has held memberships in the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice chapter since 2007. He also joined the Michigan Association for Justice that year and rose through its ranks to an executive board position in 2020. He sits on that board currently, participating in governance and member work that affects trial lawyers across the state.

Colleagues describe Hewitt as someone who prefers action over ceremony. He has pursued opportunities to shape peer education and policy within professional groups, including maintaining a membership in the Center for Progressive Leadership since 2012. That blend of advocacy and organizational work has been a steady strand through his career. He has balanced casework with a visible role in bar and trial-lawyer organizations, appearing frequently at meetings and contributing to committee discussions.

Hewitt’s public profile is defined less by promotional materials and more by steady participation in the legal community. His long-standing memberships in national and state organizations reflect sustained engagement. Serving on the Michigan Association for Justice Executive Board gave him a platform to influence programming and outreach that affect practicing trial lawyers. He has remained active in educational programming and member services through those affiliations.

Today Hewitt practices law in Michigan. He continues to be active in professional groups that center on trial work and legal advocacy. He approaches cases the same way he approaches professional service: methodically and with attention to the institutions that support courtroom practice. He currently practices in Michigan, concentrating on litigation.
