About Bradley W. Tilton
Bradley W. Tilton II earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2005 after completing a B.S. in Biology at the University of Houston in 2002. His academic record at South Texas included the Highest Grade Award in Oil & Gas Law and a role as Assistant Editor of the South Texas Law Review. He also received the Nobles & Wade Award for Distinguished Service while in law school.
His law school experience combined doctrinal study and practical legal writing. Earning top grades in oil and gas coursework signaled a strong engagement with energy law subjects. Serving on the law review sharpened his research and editing abilities and exposed him to complex statutory and regulatory debates.
Tilton’s undergraduate training in biology gave him a technical perspective that complements legal study. The combination of science and law is useful when legal matters involve environmental science, regulatory compliance, or technical fact patterns. That background often informs how he approaches case analysis, discovery planning, and expert witness work.
After graduation he entered legal practice and has spent his career applying rigorous analysis to client matters. He has experience preparing briefs, drafting contracts and regulatory filings, and handling discovery. Colleagues describe his work as methodical and detail-oriented, reflecting the analytical demands of both legal writing and scientific study.
In his practice he draws on the academic strengths noted earlier: oil and gas coursework, law review editing, and scientific training. Those elements shape how he evaluates transactional risks, assesses regulatory exposure and frames litigation strategy when disputes arise. He has handled matters that require translating technical data into legal concepts for judges, regulators and opposing counsel.
Outside specific assignments, Tilton’s professional interests remain tied to the intersection of energy, environmental, and natural resource issues. He stays engaged with developments in those fields and applies that knowledge in client work. He currently concentrates his practice on matters involving oil and gas and related energy and environmental issues.
