About Bradley
Bradley Thayer built a path to law that began outside a courtroom. He earned his undergraduate degree at Western Washington University and completed his legal education at Willamette University College of Law. Those years laid a foundation for work that would move quickly from support roles to court appearances.
Early in his career he spent time abroad teaching English for the Spanish Ministry of Education in 2009. He returned to the legal field as a legal assistant in 2011 for a local practice, then took on a law clerk position in 2013 at Garrett Hemann Robertson P.C. He gained courtroom exposure as a judicial extern in 2014 at the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. By 2015 he was an associate at Schauermann Thayer Jacobs Staples & Edwards PS, and in 2018 he advanced to partner at Schauermann Thayer.
Thayer is admitted to practice in both Oregon and Washington. He holds admissions to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, both recorded in 2016. He has been an active participant in bar and trial organizations across the region. He has served as a Region 8 delegate to the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates since 2019 and has been a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and its Guardians of Civil Justice program since 2016. His membership roster also includes the Multnomah County Bar Association and the Clark County Bar Association, where he has been involved since the mid-2010s.
On the national level, Thayer joined the American Association for Justice in 2014. He has been involved with the Washington State Association for Justice since 2015 and chaired its Roundtable Committee from 2017 through 2020. His name also appears in regional listings produced by Law & Politics Magazine during 2019 and 2020.
Colleagues describe Thayer as an attorney who moved steadily through practical roles before assuming partnership responsibilities. His experience includes courtroom exposure, federal court admissions and activity in trial-focused organizations. That mix has shaped a practice centered on litigation and court work across Oregon and Washington. He currently practices at Schauermann Thayer, handling litigation matters in state and federal courts in both states.
