About Brad

Brad Trexler entered law school after a liberal arts education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2019. He then pursued legal studies at Campbell Law School and earned his Juris Doctor in 2022. Those years framed a steady trajectory from classroom to courthouse, and they shaped the practical side of his legal training.

He began practicing soon after graduation. In 2022 he joined Sprague Law, PLLC as an associate attorney. The role exposed him to the day-to-day demands of private practice and the mechanics of client representation. The following year he moved into public service as an assistant district lawyer in Wake County. That post placed him in a county office where courtroom procedure and time-sensitive filings are routine.

Later in 2023 Trexler returned to private practice, taking a position as an associate at Matheson & Associates PLLC. At Matheson he has worked alongside more experienced trial lawyers and taken on responsibilities that range from drafting pleadings to appearing in court hearings. Those shifts between private firm settings and a county office gave him a broad view of how different legal workplaces operate.

Colleagues describe him as the sort of lawyer who pays attention to process. He has handled matters that require careful preparation and adherence to procedural deadlines. His experience includes preparing cases for hearing and working with clients through often stressful stages of litigation. He also maintains memberships in professional organizations, which keep him connected to developments in North Carolina law.

Trexler is admitted to practice in North Carolina and has built his early career there. He has balanced roles in public and private sectors and has used those stints to sharpen courtroom skills and case management habits. His work shows an interest in litigation and in ensuring clients understand the choices they face.

Now based at Matheson & Associates PLLC, Trexler represents clients in matters across North Carolina, concentrating his practice on litigation and client representation within the state.
