About Brad
Brad Buchanan attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, earning a B.A. in 1998. He went on to Campbell Law School where he received his J.D. in 2006. Those years set the groundwork for a practical career in North Carolina courts.
Soon after law school he joined the Alamance County District Lawyer's Office. He served there as a Superior Court Assistant District Lawyer beginning in 2006. The role put him in regular contact with courtroom procedure and the daily demands of trial work at the county level.
In 2010 he moved into private practice under the name Brad Buchanan, Lawyer at Law. Over the following years his practice shifted from government service to representing private clients. He has maintained a steady presence in state courts across North Carolina and manages the firm now organized as Brad Buchanan, Lawyer at Law PLLC.
Buchanan is a member of the Alamance County Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association. He also holds other professional memberships. Those ties keep him connected to local legal developments and the administrative side of practice.
Colleagues describe him as practical and methodical in court. He handles the procedural work that most cases require and prepares matters for hearing. His background in a district lawyer's office informs how he approaches filings, witness preparation, and courtroom pacing. He balances case preparation with the realities of litigating in superior court.
Clients find that his experience in both public office and private practice gives him a working familiarity with judges, clerks, and local rules. He has handled a range of matters in state court settings and continues to accept cases that require attention to procedural detail and courtroom advocacy.
He operates his practice under the name Brad Buchanan, Lawyer at Law PLLC and is licensed to practice in North Carolina. He currently represents clients in matters before North Carolina state courts.
