Born in 1972 in Thermopolis, Wyoming, Boyd's educational journey began at the University of Wyoming, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in International Agricultural Economics in 1995. Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued graduate studies in Community and Regional Planning at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. There, he was recognized by the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society for excellence in design, showcasing his commitment to quality and detail in all his endeavors. In 2005, Boyd completed his Juris Doctor at the College of William & Mary in Virginia. This prestigious institution provided him with a solid legal foundation, equipping him with the skills necessary for a successful career in law. Admitted to the Wyoming State Bar in 2007, Boyd has been an active member ever since.
He is also a member of the Virginia State Bar, having been admitted in the same year he obtained his law degree. His legal practice includes representing clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, demonstrating his knowledge of bankruptcy law. Throughout his career, Boyd has also handled various immigration matters, providing essential legal support to clients from diverse backgrounds. He served as the Immediate Past Chairman of the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Section of the Wyoming State Bar, contributing to the development of legal standards and practices in the state. Additionally, he held the position of Vice Chairman of the City of Cheyenne Planning Commission, where he played a role in shaping local policies. Fluent in English and conversational Spanish, Boyd enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Iryna, and their children. His personal interests include reading, following University of Wyoming sports teams, and engaging in outdoor activities such as gardening and farm work in Eastern Laramie County.
