About Bobby
Bobby Montgomery earned his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2006 after completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management at Mississippi College in 2001. He moved into legal work after law school but his career path has been unusually varied. He has combined legal roles with business ownership and federal investigative work.
Early in his career Montgomery held a string of positions that mixed administrative and client-facing work. He worked in technical support at Mississippi College in 2002 and later took roles at BancorpSouth as a teller in 2004 and a marketing assistant in 2005. Those positions preceded several legal clerkships beginning in 2007 at Ringer Law Office and continuing in 2009 at firms including Malouf & Malouf and Shell Buford PLLC.
After a brief stint as a business owner in 2009, launching A New Lens, he returned to organizational management as business manager for Home of Grace in 2010. He later opened an Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt location in 2015. The pattern of alternating business ventures and legal work continued and added a federal law enforcement component when he joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a special agent in 2016.
Montgomery’s blend of private-sector management, on-the-ground law clerk experience and time in federal service informs how he approaches cases. He has practical exposure to investigative techniques from his FBI service and to business operations from years running small businesses and managing nonprofit operations. That combination gives him a perspective on evidence gathering, regulatory questions and the operational concerns that business clients often bring to an attorney.
In 2021 Montgomery took a full-time role as a lawyer at Rundlett Law Office, PLLC. There he has handled matters that draw on his varied background. Colleagues and clients see someone who can parse transactional details and also weigh investigative facts against legal standards. He maintains bar membership and professional association ties in Mississippi and practices in the state.
Montgomery’s career does not follow a single arc. It moves between law, business and federal investigation. That track record shapes the practical approach he brings to the cases he handles today.
He currently practices at Rundlett Law Office, PLLC, handling business-related matters, investigative issues and civil disputes in Mississippi.
