About Bobby Dale
Bobby Dale Barina entered the legal profession after completing a law degree at The University of Texas School of Law in 1991. He had earlier earned a B.B.A. in economics and finance from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1988 and an associate degree from Temple Junior College in 1986. Those academic steps laid a steady foundation for a career that spans trial work, public service and private practice.
He began his legal career as an associate in 1992, working for James H. Kreimeyer. The next year he moved into public service as First Assistant County/District Lawyer for Coryell County. In 1994 he served as a special prosecutor in Coryell County and soon afterward became a partner at Harris & Barina. Those early years combined courtroom experience and county-level responsibility.
Barina has held several municipal roles in Nolanville, Texas. He was municipal prosecutor in 1995 and again in 1997. In 1999 he served as municipal judge for the city. In 2004 he took on the role of Chief Juvenile Prosecutor in Bell County. Those positions exposed him to both criminal and juvenile dockets in smaller jurisdictions as well as county-level prosecution matters.
Certifications provide a clear map of his areas of competency. He is board certified in family law, juvenile law and criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He also completed a State Bar-approved family law mediation course. Court admissions include the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
Over time Barina shifted more of his work into private practice. He has been associated with his own firm, Barina & Associates, and later helped establish the Barina Law Group. His practice history ties prosecutorial experience to courtroom defense and family law matters. He has handled contested hearings, juvenile proceedings and county-level criminal cases.
Clients and colleagues describe a lawyer who relies on procedural knowledge and long familiarity with Texas courts. He has combined municipal bench and prosecutor roles with private practice so that he understands case handling from several perspectives. He maintains an active practice at the Barina Law Group where his work centers on family law, juvenile matters and criminal cases.
He currently concentrates his practice on family law, juvenile law and criminal defense matters.
