Bob Richardson was an attorney and politician based in Austin, Texas. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 1974, a prestigious institution known for producing influential legal professionals. After passing the Texas State Bar that same year, Richardson began his legal career in Austin, focusing primarily on personal injury and Social Security law. His expertise led to his admission to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas, expanding his reach and impact in the legal community. In 1985, Richardson transitioned into public service when he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives, representing the 49th district.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in amending the Texas Constitution to include a Crime Victim's Bill of Rights, a significant milestone that provided essential protections for victims of crime.
