Born in Carrollton, Georgia, Blaine's academic journey began at Vanderbilt University, where he studied from 1990 to 1992. He then transferred to the University of Georgia, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in History in 1994. His time at UGA was marked by notable achievements; he was recognized as a Presidential Scholar and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, an honor society that celebrates academic excellence.
Blaine continued his education at the University of Georgia School of Law, earning his J.D. in 1997, also with magna cum laude honors. During law school, he distinguished himself as a member of the mock trial board, securing four first-place trial awards, including a prestigious national championship. Following law school, Blaine began his legal career at Alston & Bird, a prominent law firm in Atlanta. His tenure there provided him with a solid foundation in legal practice. Seeking to gain more trial experience, he returned to Athens to serve as a domestic violence prosecutor. In August 2000, he established his own firm, Norris Law, focusing primarily on personal injury litigation.
