About Billy
Billy Brown entered law after a stint studying political science. He earned his B.A. from the University of Central Florida in 2003 and completed his J.D. at the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2007. Those years laid a foundation in legal doctrine and local practice that he has built on throughout his career.
Brown moved into private practice in Florida and became a partner at Mark & Brown, P.A. in 2013. The partner title came relatively early in his career, marking a transition from junior associate roles to a leadership position within the firm. At Mark & Brown he has worked on a range of matters governed by Florida law, often handling cases and transactions that require close attention to state statutes and procedural rules.
He keeps active in professional circles. Brown holds membership in the Orange County Bar Association. He is also a member of ARDA and of ElderCounsel. Those affiliations place him in regular contact with peers who practice in related areas and industry groups. The memberships provide forums for continuing education, networking, and staying current on developments that affect his work.
Colleagues describe Brown as practical in his courtroom and transactional work. He tends to break complex problems into manageable parts and presents options in straightforward terms. That approach is suited to clients who need clear choices and timely action. On procedural matters, he pays close attention to deadlines and filings, and he prepares for hearings with a steady, methodical style.
Outside the office he has taken part in local bar events and continuing legal education programs. Those appearances are part of routine professional life rather than high-profile public advocacy. He has not been publicly identified with national leadership roles or widely reported, precedent-setting cases.
Today Brown is a partner at Mark & Brown, P.A., practicing in Florida and handling matters that arise under state law.
