About Bilal
Bilal Hill built a career at the intersection of law, finance and accounting. He holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law (2011), an MBA in Finance and Management from New York University (2002) and a B.S. in Accounting from Hampton University (1993). Those degrees frame much of his work and explain the range of professional credentials he later pursued.
Hill began his higher education in accounting and moved steadily toward law and business. The accounting degree from Hampton preceded an MBA from New York University, then law school at Fordham. The sequence shows an early grounding in numbers followed by formal legal training. He earned multiple professional certifications afterward, including Chartered Global Management Accountant through the AICPA, Certified Management Accountant from the Institute for Management Accountants, Certified Public Accountant from the Virginia Board of Accountancy and Certified Treasury Professional from the Association of Financial Professionals.
Early in his legal career Hill volunteered in public-interest settings. In 2013 he served as a volunteer lawyer for Legal Services of New Jersey and also carried out volunteer work for the Lawyer General of New Jersey. Those roles put him in contact with client-facing matters and public-law issues. The next year he established his own practice. In 2014 he opened The Hill Firm, LLC and assumed ownership of the firm.
Admission to practice spans several jurisdictions. Hill is licensed in the District of Columbia, New York and New Jersey. His combined legal and accounting qualifications mean he often deals with matters that require both legal judgment and financial analysis. He has professional experience advising on accounting controls, treasury matters and regulatory compliance. The CPA and management accounting credentials are part of the toolkit he uses when cases or transactions raise technical financial questions.
At The Hill Firm, LLC he manages the practice and handles a mix of client needs that reflect his interdisciplinary background. He has worked on engagements that demand attention to financial detail as well as legal strategy. Hill balances practice management responsibilities with client work, drawing on years of training in law, business and accounting. He currently practices at The Hill Firm, LLC, advising clients on issues that involve law, finance, taxation and regulatory compliance.
