About Beverly
Beverly Atteberry earned a J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1992. She previously completed a B.A. in political science and history at Oklahoma Baptist University in 1989, and an A.S. in biology at Saint Gregory's College in 1987. Those academic years set the stage for a career centered in Oklahoma courts.
She began her legal work in the public sector. In 1992 she joined the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office as a felony trial lawyer. That role put her in the courtroom early and often. She handled a range of felony matters and gained experience managing cases from arraignment through trial.
After several years in public defense, she launched private practice. In 1998 she opened the Atteberry Law Office. The solo practice allowed her to carry forward trial skills into client representation outside the public defender system. Over time she balanced court appearances with client counseling and case strategy in state courts across Oklahoma.
Her professional affiliations reflect sustained involvement in the local legal community. She serves as treasurer of the Tulsa Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and holds memberships in the Tulsa County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is licensed to practice in Oklahoma.
Colleagues and former clients describe her work as straightforward and focused on practical results in criminal matters. She draws on courtroom experience to evaluate plea options, prepare defense strategies, and present evidence at trial. She also handles pretrial motions and post-conviction issues arising in state cases.
Today she practices at the Atteberry Law Office in Oklahoma. Her work continues to center on criminal defense and related matters in state court, where she represents clients at various stages of criminal proceedings.
