Beth Wolf Mora is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2000. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Mora is the founder and principal attorney at Mora Employment Law, a law firm dedicated to representing employees in workplace disputes. Ms. Mora has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Ms. Mora earned her Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2000, where she also obtained a Certificate in Employment Law and Public Interest. During her time at Golden Gate, she served as a Research Editor and Writer for the Golden Gate University Law Review from 1998 to 2000. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at Sonoma State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies in 1997.
Ms. Mora concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, medical leave and disability issues, and severance negotiations. She represents individuals in matters involving workplace discrimination based on gender, race, national origin, age, medical condition, religion, familial status, or sexual orientation. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mora has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Contra Costa, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in San Francisco for five years.
Ms. Mora is an active member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, serving as Co-Chair of the Committee on Elimination of Bias in the Judiciary, and the Contra Costa County Bar Association Pro Bono Committee. She is also a supervising attorney with Legal Aid at Work’s Workers’ Rights Clinic and co-leads its new Antioch Clinic. Ms. Mora has been recognized for her contributions to employment law, receiving the Joe Posner Award from the California Employment Lawyers Association in 2023 and the Service Award in 2022-2023. She has been quoted in legal journals, including Bloomberg Law, Daily Journal, and Law 360, on issues impacting employees and the legal community. Ms. Mora is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay Area effectively.
