Beth Gearhart completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1995 after beginning her studies in 1991. She remained at the university for law school and received her Juris Doctor in 1998. Those years in Tucson shaped the legal foundation she would build on in practice.
Her early career moved quickly through several Atlanta law firms. In 2001 she joined Finnegan Marks Hampton & Theofel. Six years later she was at Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele. By 2011 she was working at Drew Eckl & Farnham. In 2013 she left firm life to open Gearhart Law Group. The sequence shows steady movement into roles that broadened her exposure to litigation and insurance matters.
Beyond day-to-day practice, Gearhart has taken on governance roles in professional organizations. She has served on the Board of Directors of WCCL since 2016. She joined the Atlanta Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section board in 2015 and has been active there through the present. She is also a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, a membership she has held since 2013. Those positions put her in regular contact with peers who handle workers’ compensation and related civil matters.
Licensed to practice in both Georgia and California, she has worked on cases and matters that cross state lines and touch on insurance defense concerns. In 2013 she established Gearhart Law Group, LLC, building a practice that handles litigation and counsel for employers and insurers. Her approach is methodical; she emphasizes preparation and familiarity with administrative proceedings as well as court work. Clients encounter her work most often in contested claim hearings, appeal processes, and coverage questions.
She has maintained an active role in bar activities while running her firm, balancing client work with professional leadership. Her colleagues note her steady presence on committees and panels related to workers’ compensation. She continues to represent clients through Gearhart Law Group, LLC and concentrates her practice on workers’ compensation defense and related insurance matters.
