About Beth Alyse
Beth Alyse Ferguson earned her J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University in 2002. She received a B.S. in Psychology from Angelo State University in 1986. Those degrees reflect a mix of legal training and an early interest in behavioral science that has followed her career.
Ferguson moved into public supervision work early on. In 1996 she served as a supervisor for the CHAPS Community House Arrest Program at the Tom Green County Community Supervision and Corrections Department. She was a probation officer in Collin County’s SCORE program in 1998. Around 2002 she worked as a paralegal in private practice for Paul Stuckle and also took on instructional roles for state-mandated education programs, including the Texas Alcohol Education Program and the Texas Drug Offender Program. That year she also served as an instructor and mentor in a Collin County drug rehabilitation program.
Her practice shifted to private defense work in the mid-2000s. In 2006 she became a partner at Stuckle & Ferguson, PLLC. Over the years she has combined courtroom work with program instruction and community supervision matters. She continues to teach state programs such as the Texas Drug Offender Education Program and the Texas Minor in Possession Program, and she holds membership in the Texas Association of Mediators.
Ferguson participates in several professional groups tied to criminal defense and probation. She sits on the board of the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association and is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association and the Texas Probation Association. Her membership in the Texas Bar Association is listed as beginning in 2006 and continuing to the present. The mix of supervisory, instructional and defense roles gives her a practical grasp of how education programs and community supervision intersect with criminal cases.
She practices at Stuckle & Ferguson, PLLC, where she concentrates on criminal defense, probation matters and offender education programs.
