About Bert
Bert Steinmann began a career shaped by both teaching and law. He earned a B.S. in social psychology from the University of Houston in 1994, followed by an M.A. in communications from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1995. He added a teaching certificate from Lamar University in 1997 and completed his J.D. at Cumberland School of Law, Samford University in 1999.
After law school, Steinmann entered private practice and business. He joined Sunday and Associates as an associate in 1999 and in the same year became the principal owner of Conroe Collection Services. He formed a partnership at Steinmann and Harrison in 2002 and has served as a senior partner at Steinmann Law Office, Counsel and Services since 2007.
He has been a member of the Texas Bar since 1999 and is admitted to practice in Texas as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Steinmann is a certified mediator for civil and family matters through the Montgomery County Dispute Resolution Center. That credential supplements his courtroom work and gives him an alternate option for resolving disputes.
Steinmann’s practice touches several areas reflected in his professional affiliations. He holds memberships in organizations including the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Texas Association of Family Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also active in the College of the State Bar of Texas and maintains membership in the American Bar Association and the Texas Bar. Outside the legal sphere he is a member of Lions Club International.
Colleagues and clients describe him as a lawyer who blends litigation experience with settlement tools such as mediation. He represents clients in state courts across Texas and in the Southern District of Texas when federal filings are required. His certification in both civil and family mediation allows him to serve parties who seek alternatives to trial.
Steinmann continues to lead Steinmann Law Office, Counsel and Services from its main office. He balances trial work, client counseling and mediation services in family and criminal matters and remains active in county and state bar organizations. He currently maintains a practice handling family and criminal matters and provides civil and family mediation services.
