About Benn

Benn Vincent is an attorney who trained at two Louisiana universities before joining private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 2000 and completed both a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University in 2003.

After law school, Vincent moved into a litigation career that has kept him in state and federal courts. By 2005 he was a partner at Kean Miller LLP. That early elevation to partnership marked him as a lawyer trusted to take on complex matters and manage client work within a firm setting.

His admissions include the Louisiana Supreme Court, the United States Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit, and Texas. Those credentials allow him to handle disputes that arise in multiple venues across the Gulf South and before the federal appellate court that covers the region.

Vincent’s professional memberships are broad. He holds membership in the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Those affiliations reflect a practice that intersects litigation, federal procedure and industry-specific issues, especially in the energy sector.

Colleagues describe his courtroom work as straightforward and focused on the legal issues at stake rather than on rhetoric. He appears in trial courts and in federal filings, handling discovery, motion practice and appeals when cases proceed beyond the trial level. His courtroom calendar and filings have run the gamut from routine dispositive motions to contested hearings in federal court.

Outside of formal memberships he has participated in bar activities and regional professional gatherings. He is active in the Baton Rouge legal community and engages with national bar groups on practice and procedure topics. His experience across multiple federal districts and the Fifth Circuit gives him a working familiarity with differing local rules and judges’ practices.

As of 2026 Vincent practices at Kean Miller LLP. He concentrates on litigation in state and federal courts and on matters tied to the energy and natural resources sector.
