About Benjamin

Benjamin Wishart built a path to law that began in economics. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brigham Young University in 2004 and went on to receive his J.D. from Chapman University in 2010. Those academic choices shaped the way he approaches legal problems: methodical, numerate and attentive to detail.

After law school, Wishart moved into private practice. He spent the early years of his career handling a range of client matters and learning how legal strategy and practical business concerns intersect. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic. Clients have come to expect clear explanations and straightforward planning.

His undergraduate training in economics remains part of his professional toolkit. He uses economic reasoning when parsing contracts, assessing damages and advising on transactional choices. That analytical bent also informs how he prepares for hearings and negotiates settlements. He tends to break complex issues into elements that are easier to manage.

Wishart has experience across matters that touch both business and personal affairs. He has advised companies and individuals on contract questions, transactional decisions and dispute resolution. He approaches each matter by first identifying the decision points and then mapping options to likely outcomes. That helps clients weigh costs, timelines and potential risk.

At Wishart & Associates he practices law in a firm setting that serves a mix of local businesses and private clients. His role involves counseling, drafting and advocacy. He works with clients to set realistic objectives and to pursue them efficiently. The firm environment allows him to draw on support from colleagues when cases demand broader resources.

Outside the office, he keeps up on developments in law and business that affect his clients. His time in both economics and law gives him a distinctive way of looking at matters that are partly legal and partly financial. He aims to provide practical advice rather than theoretical elaboration.

Now in practice at Wishart & Associates, he concentrates on advising businesses and individuals on transactional decisions, contract matters and related disputes.
