About Benjamin

Benjamin Williams graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2011. He entered practice soon after earning his J.D., taking the usual first steps of a young lawyer building courtroom experience and client relationships. Over time he moved into roles with greater responsibility and a steadier public profile.

In 2014 he became a partner at Tingen & Williams, PLLC. That role put him in the center of day-to-day firm management and client work. Colleagues from that period describe someone who preferred clear analysis over rhetoric. He handled litigation and courtroom matters while also helping guide firm strategy.

A decade into his legal career, he reorganized his practice. In 2021 he launched Ben Williams Law, PLLC. Running his own firm meant trading shared resources for full control of case selection and firm operations. It also expanded the scope of matters he could accept and the geographic reach of his work.

Williams is licensed to practice in Virginia and is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Those admissions reflect steady litigation activity at both the trial and appellate levels. He has argued before judges in state courts and filed briefs in federal appellate proceedings. He keeps his litigation skills current through regular courtroom appearances.

Clients and opposing counsel note a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution. He tends to prioritize practical outcomes over headline-making tactics. In court, his style is measured and evidence-driven. Outside of hearings, he focuses on preparing clear, concise filings that judges can follow easily.

Running a small firm has also shaped his view of client service. He handles case intake, strategy, and the day-to-day management of files. That hands-on approach means he often coordinates directly with clients rather than routing work through multiple associates. The model serves litigation matters that require steady attention and quick responsiveness.

He remains active in professional circles and maintains ties to other lawyers in Virginia and the Fourth Circuit. His published record and public leadership roles are limited; he prefers practical courtroom work and client problem-solving to public-facing positions.

Today Benjamin Williams practices through Ben Williams Law, PLLC. He works in Virginia courts and on appeals in the Fourth Circuit, handling litigation and appellate matters for private clients and organizations. His current practice concentrates on matters in state and federal courts across Virginia and on appeals before the Fourth Circuit.
