About Benjamin
Benjamin Inman began his professional life in the military and moved into law in the years that followed. He enlisted in 2002 with the United States Army and served in the New Hampshire National Guard. The discipline of service shaped a pragmatic approach to legal work. He carried that approach from training fields into courtrooms and offices.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2008 from the University of New Hampshire, studying political science and justice studies. He then attended George Mason University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2012. Those years of study gave him a grounding in procedure and statutory analysis that shows up in his case preparation and courtroom work.
After law school he moved to Virginia public service. In 2013 he took a post as Assistant Commonwealth's Lawyer for Arlington County and the City of Falls Church. In that role he worked inside local government legal offices, handling responsibilities that come with municipal representation. That public-sector experience exposed him to both administrative and courtroom work and to the practical mechanics of local government law.
He later entered private practice. In 2017 he joined J. Madison PLC as a lawyer. After several years there he opened his own firm, Inman Law, PLLC, in 2020. At those stages he handled client work in the civil arena as well as matters that drew on his prosecutorial background. He moved between brief drafting, client counseling and litigation tasks.
Inman holds admission to multiple bars. He is licensed in New Hampshire, the District of Columbia and Virginia. He has participated in local bar organizations, holding membership in the Arlington Bar Association from 2012 to 2017 and joining the Fairfax Bar Association in 2021, where he remains a member. Those affiliations reflect an ongoing engagement with regional legal communities.
Colleagues describe him as steady in court and methodical in preparation, traits shaped by his early military service and his time in municipal law offices. He continues to practice through Inman Law, PLLC and concentrates on matters across the jurisdictions where he is admitted.
