About Benjamin
Benjamin Flam built a layered academic foundation before entering the bar. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rhode Island, followed by a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law. He also completed a Master of Arts in International Relations at Syracuse University and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Security Studies from Syracuse, bringing a mix of legal training and international-policy study to his work.
He joined Gordon Law Group, LLP after finishing law school and has remained with the firm. His practice reflects the variety of his admissions and memberships. He is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts, and he holds admission to several federal and appellate venues, including the U.S. Supreme Court, the 1st and 2nd Circuits, the Federal Circuit, and the federal district courts for Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
Those multiple admissions allow him to handle matters that move beyond state court. He has handled litigation that required appearances in federal district courts and on appeal. His academic work in international relations and security studies informs his perspective on cases that touch on regulatory and cross-border issues, and it offers a background useful in complex factual settings.
Flam’s association memberships map onto his day-to-day practice. He is a current member of the State Bar of Massachusetts and the State Bar of New York. He belongs to the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association and serves as an appointee to the Massachusetts Fair Housing Coalition. These roles place him in professional conversations about employment law and housing policy in the state, and they offer connections to colleagues and advocates working on related litigation and policy efforts.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in courtroom preparation and careful in written advocacy. He spends time on appellate briefs when cases rise above the trial level and on federal litigation when matters require federal jurisdiction. His law school training and subsequent admissions have shaped a practice comfortable in multi-jurisdictional contexts.
He continues to work at Gordon Law Group, LLP in Massachusetts, where he handles employment and housing-related matters and litigates in federal and appellate courts where he is admitted.
