About Benjamin

Benjamin Asebrook completed his legal training at the University of Dayton School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2020 after studying philosophy at Wright State University, where he received his bachelor's degree in 2017. He entered the profession at a time of rapid change in the courts, carrying the analytical habits of a philosophy major into legal reasoning and case strategy.

He began his legal career in public service as a law clerk at the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office. That role put him inside the routine of case preparation, witness interviews and courtroom procedure. The work demanded steady legal research and concise drafting, and it offered repeated exposure to the cadence of trials and hearings.

After his clerkship he moved into private practice. He joined Hanna & Fisher as an associate, where he has worked on a range of matters brought before state courts. In firm practice he has handled discovery, motion practice and client counseling. His experience in a prosecutor's office informs how he prepares evidence and frames arguments. The transition from public to private work has also involved adapting to different client expectations and a broader set of procedural contexts.

Asebrook is admitted to practice in both Ohio and Indiana. He maintains memberships in the Ohio State Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. Those affiliations keep him connected to continuing education and local rules of practice in two neighboring jurisdictions. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and attentive in client meetings.

Outside the courtroom he has contributed to internal research projects at the firm and assisted in drafting pleadings and trial exhibits. He has taken part in settlement negotiations and has experience preparing matters for trial calendars. He remains early in his career but has accumulated practical exposure to both prosecutorial and defense-oriented workflows.

He lives and practices in the region served by his bar admissions and continues to build his practice around litigation support, client advising and courtroom work. He is currently an associate at Hanna & Fisher, where he works on matters in Ohio and Indiana.
