About Benjamin A.

Benjamin A. Schwartz began his academic journey at Dover High School, where he earned his diploma in 1993. He went on to the University of Delaware and completed a B.S. in Business Administration in 1997. He then attended New York Law School and received his J.D. in 2001.

After law school he stepped into firm leadership. Since 2001 he has served as managing partner of Schwartz & Schwartz. Over the years he has overseen case strategy and the daily operations of the firm. Colleagues note that he balances courtroom work with administrative duties.

He is admitted to practice in Delaware. He also holds certification as a mediator from the Superior Court of Delaware, and he regularly conducts mediations in civil matters. That credential complements his litigation work and gives him a procedural perspective when resolving disputes outside the courtroom.

Schwartz has been involved in bar activities and professional associations for many years. He has been the Journal Editor for the Delaware State Bar Association since 2015, a role that has him shaping legal discussion and helping to set editorial direction. He joined the Board of Governors of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association in 2014 and continues to serve there. From 2014 to 2015 he chaired the Health Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, a post that put him in the middle of policy discussions affecting practitioners and providers.

He maintains a regional presence through offices in Philadelphia, central Dover and Wilmington. That footprint supports work across the state and gives clients options for consultations and proceedings. He spends time in each location and handles matters that arise in Delaware courts.

His practice concentrates on trial and litigation matters and includes mediation services. His work often intersects with health law issues, reflecting his years on the Health Law Section and his involvement in bar publications. He continues to lead Schwartz & Schwartz while taking cases, conducting mediations and contributing to professional publications and bar governance. His current practice focuses on litigation, mediation and health law matters.
