Becky Michelle Brooks is a licensed attorney in California, admitted to the State Bar in 2000 under license number 210568. She is currently active and practices law with Colman Perkins Law Group, located at 100 Howe Ave, Suite 206S, Sacramento, CA 95825-8227. Ms. Brooks has over 25 years of experience in the legal field, serving clients throughout California.
Ms. Brooks earned her Juris Doctor degree from the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific, graduating summa cum laude in 2000. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993. During her time at McGeorge, she was recognized with honors such as the Order of the Coif and the Traynor Award from the Traynor Society.
Throughout her career, Ms. Brooks has focused on business law, real estate, and estate planning. She has represented clients in various matters, including business formation, corporate counsel, litigation, revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, easements, sales, construction, investment group formation, and litigation, as well as broker issues. Her practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including litigation, appeals, negotiations, and trials.
Ms. Brooks began her legal career as an associate attorney at Borton Petrini & Conron from 2000 to 2003, handling property development, business law, and insurance litigation throughout Kern County and the lower central valley. She then served as a partner at Muck & Smith, LLP from 2006 to 2007, where she was also the owner of a real estate brokerage. From 2007 to 2015, she was a sole practitioner, managing her own practice that focused on property investments, creation of investment partnerships, property disputes, contracts, and estate law and planning. Since 2015, she has been with Thomas Anton & Associates, serving as a senior associate attorney handling property law, estate planning, contracts, and business litigation.
Ms. Brooks is an active member of the California State Bar and has been involved in the Kern County Bar Association since 2000. She is also a member of the Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club. In addition to her professional activities, she is fluent in English and has been recognized for her academic achievements during her law school tenure.
