About Barbara K.
Barbara K. Wagner trained first as a scientist before turning to law. She earned a Bachelor of Science at the University of Florida and then earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. Her academic path combined rigorous coursework and practical courtroom experience, including time on moot court activities that foreshadowed her later professional roles.
She built her legal career in Florida. Over the years she advanced to a leadership position at Kibbey Wagner, PLLC, where she serves as a partner. At the firm she handles courtroom work and client representation, often moving between state and federal dockets. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She prepares cases thoroughly and presents them plainly.
Wagner maintains active membership in the Florida Bar Association and holds membership in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Those memberships allow her to appear in both state and federal courtrooms. She also serves as a director on a Moot Court Board, a role that keeps her connected to legal education and advocacy training.
Her involvement in the local bar is long-standing. In Martin County she has held the roles of president, board director and secretary for the Martin County Bar. Those leadership positions have put her in contact with judges, other attorneys and community groups. She has used those posts to shape programming and to organize forums on legal practice in the county.
Clients and peers encounter Wagner most often in the Stuart office of Kibbey Wagner, PLLC. The office is a base for litigation and client meetings in the Treasure Coast region. She balances courtroom appearances with work behind the scenes—brief writing, client counseling and case strategy. The mix of courtroom advocacy and organizational leadership has defined much of her public work in the legal community.
She continues to practice in Florida, carrying cases through state courts and into the federal system when necessary. Her current work is conducted from the firm's Stuart, Florida office and centers on representing clients in matters before state and federal courts.
