About Barbara

Barbara Hartbrodt is the managing lawyer at Hartbrodt Law, P.A., a position she has held since 2016. She moved quickly from law school into practice, assuming leadership of her firm within a year of admission to the bar. Her practice has centered on matters common to trust and estate planning, family law and trial practice.

Hartbrodt earned her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2015. During her time at the law school she concentrated her studies in trusts and estate planning, family law and trial practice. In 2014 she served as an associate lawyer–intern at the school’s Legal Advocacy Clinic, gaining hands-on experience representing clients and handling court appearances under faculty supervision.

After finishing law school Hartbrodt established her private practice and took on the role of managing lawyer at Hartbrodt Law, P.A. The early move into firm management placed administrative duties alongside client work. She balances those responsibilities by handling case strategy, court filings and negotiations while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office.

Her casework reflects the subjects she studied in law school. She handles trust and estate planning matters, including document drafting and probate-related proceedings. Family law is a second pillar of the practice, where she addresses divorce, custody and related disputes. She also handles contested matters that proceed to trial, managing preparations from discovery through courtroom presentation.

Hartbrodt maintains professional memberships and participates in legal circles in Florida. Her background in a law school clinic and rapid transition into practice inform the way she approaches client matters: methodical, practical and attentive to procedural detail. She represents clients in state courts and in planning settings, emphasizing clarity in documents and realistic strategies in litigation.

She continues to lead Hartbrodt Law, P.A., where her practice concentrates on trusts and estate planning, family law and trial practice.
