Ayanna graduated cum laude from Columbia University in 2004 where she received a Bachelor of Arts diploma in French with a minor in political technology. Ayanna then went on to earn her law diploma from Tulane University School of Law in 2011.
While in law school, Ayanna become a board member of the Moot Court Board and managing editor of the Journal of Technology & Intellectual Property. Upon commencement from law faculty, Ayanna served as a judicial regulation clerk for the Honorable Michael A. Toto, P.J.S.C in the Criminal Division of the Superior Court, Middlesex County, New Jersey. At that time, she additionally acted as a New Jersey Supreme Court Certified Trained Mediator in Mediation and Conciliation Skills.
