About Avram
Avram Rosen built a career at the intersection of law and practical problem solving. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1984 and took his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1988. Those years shaped a methodical approach to legal questions and a plainspoken courtroom style.
Early in his career Rosen combined practice with teaching. In 1991 he served as an adjunct professor at the Community College of Allegheny County, introducing students to basic legal concepts and the realities of courtroom procedure. The classroom experience reinforced his interest in clear explanation and client education, skills that would carry into family law work.
By 1999 Rosen was practicing with the Rosen Family Law Group. Over the years he has handled a steady calendar of family law matters. He has represented clients in divorce proceedings, custody disputes and related financial issues. His work often involves careful document preparation, negotiation and courtroom appearances when settlement is not possible.
Rosen maintains active memberships in regional bar groups focused on family law. He holds memberships in the Washington County Bar Association Family Section, the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Division and the Allegheny County Bar Association Family Section. He is also a member of the Matrimonial Inns of Court. Those affiliations keep him engaged with peers and current on procedural developments and case law.
Colleagues describe him as thorough and pragmatic in case handling, preferring clear options over uncertain promises. He approaches each file by assessing practical consequences for clients, whether the matter is child custody, support calculations, or equitable distribution of assets. He has handled contested hearings as well as negotiated resolutions.
Rosen’s career reflects steady focus on family law across courtroom work, client counseling and occasional classroom teaching. He continues to practice at Rosen Family Law Group, handling divorce, custody and related family matters.
