About Avinoam
Avinoam Cohen has built a steady legal career in New York over the past two decades. He is an attorney licensed in New York and admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. His résumé shows a conventional path from law school into private practice and then into firm leadership.
Cohen earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the City University of New York, Queens College, graduating in 2001. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2005. Those academic credentials preceded his entry into the New York bar and the early phase of his legal work.
He began his post-law school practice as an associate at Kasowitz Benson Torres & Friedman in 2006. That position placed him in a well-established New York firm during the formative years of his career. After accumulating experience in private practice there, Cohen moved on to roles that combined client work with firm management.
Since 2015 he has been the managing member of A. Cohen Law Office, P.C. In that capacity he oversees the firm’s operations and its legal work. His admissions to the New York bar and the Second Circuit allow him to represent clients in state courts and in appellate litigation at the federal appellate level.
