About Austin
Austin White built his legal training around technology and media. He earned a B.A. in Communications, Media Communication and Technology from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2007. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2010, where he concentrated on intellectual property and technology issues.
He joined McCormick Law Office in 2010 as a partner. Over the years he has handled matters that reach from trademark filings to disputes over copyrighted material and the licensing of software and digital content. His practice combines transactional work—drafting and negotiating agreements—with enforcement and contested proceedings when clients must protect their rights.
Clients seek him out for the technical side of intellectual property. He drafts trademark applications and assists in portfolio management. He handles copyright claims tied to online publishing and multimedia production. He also advises on technology-related contracts, including licensing terms and policies that govern the use and distribution of software and content.
He is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Bar and admitted to practice in that state. He also holds admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to the U.S. Supreme Court, which allows him to handle appeals and petitions at the federal appellate level. That admission profile supports work that can move from district courts to higher courts when disputes turn on novel points of law.
Outside of client matters he remains involved in local and federal bar activities. He holds current memberships in the Lycoming Law Association and the Federal Bar Association. His day-to-day work is spent at McCormick Law Office, where he serves as a trademark, copyright and technology lawyer, representing businesses, creators and organizations in Pennsylvania and in federal forums.
