About Austin Shelton
Austin Shelton Pieratt built a path to the law from two different classrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems from California State University - San Diego State University in 2012. He then turned to legal studies and received a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2015.
That shift from business and technology to law helped shape how he approaches client problems. His undergraduate background in systems and management gives him a practical lens for analyzing documentation and processes. In law school he studied the core doctrines and practical skills that lawyers need to proceed in state court. He has been involved in professional circles since graduating; he has held membership in a professional legal association since 2015.
Pieratt launched his own firm fairly soon after finishing law school. In 2016 he established Pieratt Law PLLC. Opening a solo practice allowed him to set how the office operates and how clients are served. The firm is based in Oklahoma, where he is licensed to practice.
Clients and colleagues describe him as concise in written work and direct in oral settings. He spends time preparing court filings and advising clients on procedural matters. He also handles client intake and case management at the firm, work that benefits from his earlier study in information systems.
Day to day, he combines courtroom work with the administrative tasks of running a small firm. He drafts pleadings, appears in hearings, and works with clients to develop legal strategies that reflect the realities of litigation in Oklahoma. His practice involves interacting with local courts and regulators, and he manages case files from initial consultation through resolution.
Outside the office he maintains ties to the professional community and continues to engage in activities that keep him current on legal developments. He has practiced law in Oklahoma since establishing Pieratt Law PLLC and remains based there. He currently practices at Pieratt Law PLLC, handling legal matters and representation for clients in Oklahoma.
