Asmik Jasmine Gevorkyan is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Gevorkyan is the founder and principal of Gevorkyan Law Firm, A.P.L.C., a law firm located in Sherman Oaks, California. She has been practicing law for over 18 years, serving clients throughout California.
Ms. Gevorkyan earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law, graduating in 2006. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at California State University, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Latin American Studies. During her time at law school, she worked as a paralegal at law firms while supporting her family through college.
Ms. Gevorkyan concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury law, including car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, and pedestrian accidents, wrongful death, brain injury, slip and fall, dog bite injuries, premises liability, medical malpractice, and dangerous products/products liability claims. She represents individuals and businesses in matters involving workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and premises liability claims. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Gevorkyan has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Ms. Gevorkyan is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. She holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. She is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Ms. Gevorkyan is fluent in English, Armenian, and Russian, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
