About Ashley
Ashley Petriches earned her law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. She completed the academic and practical training there and moved into practice in Michigan. The law school’s curriculum and clinics gave her a grounding in state procedure and client counseling that she carried into her early years as a lawyer.
After graduating, Petriches entered the Michigan legal community. She is admitted to practice in Michigan and has maintained a presence in the state’s courts and legal circles. Over time she has built experience working on matters that arise under Michigan law, learning the rhythms of local practice and the procedural expectations of state tribunals.
Petriches holds current membership in professional legal associations. She participates in continuing legal education and attends association meetings to stay abreast of changes in statutes and court decisions. Those activities help her keep practical knowledge current and maintain connections with colleagues across the state.
Her office is at Birka Law, where she practices as an attorney. At the firm she handles client matters that require legal analysis, document preparation, and courtroom advocacy when needed. She has worked on filings, negotiated settlements, and prepared clients for hearings. Clients meet her as the person responsible for explaining options and preparing the legal work that moves a matter forward.
Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She presents legal issues in plain terms and lays out possible next steps so clients can make an informed choice. She values clarity in correspondence and in court filings, and she invests time in practical case management to keep matters on track. That work style reflects a preference for steady, considered preparation rather than sudden maneuvers.
Outside the office she continues to engage with the professional community in Michigan, attending programs and contributing where practical. Her background at Cooley Law School and her subsequent years in practice have kept her grounded in state law and procedure. She now applies that background in her work at Birka Law.
Her current practice focuses on serving clients in Michigan through her work at Birka Law.
