About Ashley
Ashley Beard earned her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2021. She completed her studies at a time when courts and offices were adjusting to new pressures. The law school experience sharpened her courtroom preparation and legal research during a fast-changing period for legal practice.
After law school, Beard began practicing in Minnesota. She is licensed to practice in that state and holds current professional association membership. Early in her career she worked on a range of matters that exposed her to both client counseling and litigation basics. Colleagues describe her as methodical and pragmatic when handling routine casework.
Beard joined Dougherty, Molenda, Solfest, Hills & Bauer P.A., where she practices as an attorney. The firm’s environment placed her among experienced lawyers and offered regular client contact. She learned to draft pleadings, manage discovery, and prepare for hearings. Those day-to-day tasks form the core of her professional routine.
Her legal training at Mitchell Hamline emphasized practical skills. Clinics and simulation courses there aim to bridge classroom theory and courthouse practice. Beard carried those lessons into her work, developing an ability to organize files and present facts plainly. She favors clear memos and straightforward briefs over ornate legal prose.
Outside of casework, Beard maintains involvement in professional circles. She holds current membership in a professional association, which keeps her connected to peers and developments in Minnesota law. She also keeps up with continuing legal education requirements to remain current on procedural and substantive changes.
Clients and co-counsel can expect concise communication and steady preparation from Beard. She handles filings, motions, and client interviews with an emphasis on clarity. Her approach is practical: assess the facts, identify options, and proceed in a way that aligns with a client’s objectives.
Now practicing at Dougherty, Molenda, Solfest, Hills & Bauer P.A., Beard focuses her current practice on legal matters in Minnesota.
