About Artur
Artur Tunyan trained as a lawyer in two countries. He built a curriculum of study that moves from Yerevan to the United States and back again. The trajectory shows an early legal education followed by advanced postgraduate work in both Armenia and the U.S.
Tunyan earned his law degree at Yerevan State University Law School. He continued his studies at The American University of Armenia, completing an LL.M. program. He later pursued an LL.M. at the University of Illinois—Chicago John Marshall Law School. Those academic steps gave him exposure to different legal systems and academic traditions.
After completing his postgraduate work, Tunyan became admitted to practice in California. He established Tunyan Law, APC, as the vehicle for his private practice. Over time he has combined classroom training from two countries with practical work in the American legal system. In 2020 he added a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification to his credentials, reflecting an interest in organized legal project delivery and process management.
Colleagues describe Tunyan as methodical and detail-oriented. His background—legal education abroad followed by study in the United States—means he often works on matters that require clarity about comparative procedures and documentation. He is experienced in guiding clients through procedural steps required by California courts and administrative bodies. He emphasizes clear communication and careful preparation of filings.
Tunyan also spends time advising on transactional matters and client intake processes, applying project management principles to keep matters on track. He manages case workflow, deadlines, and client communications, drawing on both his legal training and his PMP credential. He leads a small practice at Tunyan Law, APC, handling a range of matters governed by California law.
He maintains a practice focused on advising and representing clients in legal matters arising under California law.
