About Arkady
Arkady Tselner studied politics and literature before turning to law. He earned a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he read political science and Russian literature. He then attended San Fernando College of Law and received his J.D., completing the academic path that would lead him into private practice.
He opened his own firm in 2008. That year he also began memberships that remain current, including the State Bar of California and CAALA. Over the years he has maintained admissions that allow him to appear in California courts and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Tselner built the Law Offices of Arkady A. Tselner as a small, lawyer-led practice. He listed himself as the founding lawyer and has continued there since its establishment. The firm operates under his name and concentrates on matters arising in state and federal court across California. He manages case strategy, client communication, and courtroom proceedings himself, and the office reflects the scale of a solo and small-firm practice rather than a large institutional operation.
His courtroom work includes appearances in trial courts and filings in the Ninth Circuit. That combination requires a mix of litigation skills and procedural knowledge. He prepares briefs, argues motions and represents clients at hearings. His membership in CAALA suggests ongoing ties to the community of civil trial lawyers in the Los Angeles area.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as direct in litigation and pragmatic in settlement talks. He prefers clear positions in writing and concise argument in court. He brings his undergraduate study of political science and Russian literature into a practice style that values context and careful reading of texts — qualities that inform legal research and brief writing.
Outside of appearances and filings, his practice includes client intake and case development. He oversees investigations, consults experts when needed, and steers matters through the discovery process. The office presents itself as accessible to clients who need a hands-on lawyer rather than a large-firm team.
As of 2026, he continues to operate the Law Offices of Arkady A. Tselner and accepts matters that require litigation or appellate work in California and in the Ninth Circuit. His current practice focuses on litigation and appellate representation in state and federal courts.
