Arkady Frekhtman is the founder and managing attorney of Frekhtman & Associates, a personal injury law firm based in New York City. He has been practicing law since 1999, specializing in serious and catastrophic civil litigation. His areas of expertise include tractor-trailer, motorcycle, bus, truck, and auto accidents; construction site accidents; brain and spinal cord injuries; birth injuries; and medical malpractice. Born and raised in New York City, Mr. Frekhtman earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Vassar College in 1995. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at The University of Texas School of Law, graduating in 1997.
After law school, he worked for a solo practitioner in Austin, Texas, before returning to New York City in 1999. In 2000, he founded his own practice in Brooklyn, which has since expanded to multiple locations across the city. Under his leadership, Frekhtman & Associates has grown from a solo practice to a firm with over 25 staff members, including attorneys, paralegals, investigators, and clerks. The firm has achieved significant success, securing some of the highest verdicts and settlements in New York, including a $69,225,000.00 award. Mr. Frekhtman is admitted to practice in New York State and has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1999.
He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, as well as in Texas State Courts. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. In 2020, he was admitted to the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, reflecting his commitment to the legal profession and his dedication to promoting the common professional interests of attorney members. Throughout his career, Mr. Frekhtman has handled thousands of personal injury cases, ranging from soft tissue car accident matters to severe brain injury litigation, mass tort litigation, burn injury, and construction site accidents.
