About Ari
Ari Good trained first in Chicago and later in Florida. He earned his J.D. from DePaul College of Law in 1997, where he studied international law, intellectual property and tax law. He returned to the classroom for a postgraduate degree, taking an LL.M. at the University of Florida, awarded in 2005, focused on international and corporate tax law.
After law school he moved into practice across two jurisdictions. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and Florida. He joined the Florida Bar Association in 2005 and has maintained that membership since. In 2008 he became president of Good Lawyers At Law, PA, a small firm where he has overseen client matters and the firm’s administrative work.
Good’s work sits at the intersection of tax and cross-border law. He has handled matters that require translating tax rules across jurisdictions. He also works on intellectual property questions and the international aspects of corporate transactions. His academic background in both international law and tax law informs how he crafts solutions for clients who operate beyond a single state or country.
Colleagues describe him as someone who prefers practical solutions over theoretical debates. He spends time reviewing statutes and tax codes, and then turns those reviews into concrete advice for businesses and individuals. Courtroom exposure has been part of his practice, though much of his caseload involves counseling, drafting agreements and structuring transactions that anticipate regulatory requirements.
Outside the office he has kept ties to legal organizations. His ongoing membership in the Florida Bar Association connects him to continuing education and professional resources in the state. He remains based at Good Lawyers At Law, PA, where he took on the presidency in 2008 and continues to manage client work and firm operations. He currently practices in Florida and Illinois, advising clients on international and corporate tax matters as well as intellectual property and international law issues.
