About Arezou
Arezou Bakhtjou opened her own law office in 2014 and has maintained a private practice since then. She built the firm from the ground up and has overseen its work through more than a decade of changes in the legal landscape. She runs the office as owner and lawyer, managing both the legal work and the business side of the practice.
Her day-to-day work combines client counseling, case management and courtroom work. She handles case intake, develops strategies, negotiates with opposing parties and represents clients in hearings. As the firm principal she also supervises administrative operations and ensures cases move forward efficiently.
Outside her practice she is active in professional organizations. She serves on the executive board of the California Lawyers For Criminal Justice Legislative Committee. She also serves on the executive board of the ACBA Judicial Appointment Evaluation Committee. Those roles keep her involved in policy discussions and in evaluating candidates for judicial roles.
Colleagues and clients describe her approach as straightforward and practical. She aims to explain options clearly and to outline likely outcomes so clients can make informed choices. She pays attention to the details of each matter and adjusts tactics when new facts emerge.
She continues to operate the Law Office of Arezou Bakhtjou and to represent clients from that office. Her current practice focuses on criminal defense and related matters.
