About April Mary
April Mary Gilmore pursued her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University–Newark, where she completed a B.A. in 1992 with coursework in history, economics and English. She stayed in Newark for law school and earned her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Newark in 1998. Those years in the Rutgers system provided a steady academic grounding and immersion in the legal community of northern New Jersey.
Her first position after law school was a clerkship in 1998 for the Honorable Arthur N. D'Italia, A.J.S.C. The role placed her inside the state court system at an early stage of her career. She then entered private practice as an associate in 1999 at Pitney Hardin Kipp & Szuch, a move that transitioned her from the courthouse to firm-based representation and the day-to-day work of litigation and client advising.
In 2000 she became a partner at The Epstein Law Office, P.A. That change came quickly after the associate position and marked a new phase in her professional life. Over the years she has maintained active ties to the legal communities of both New Jersey and New York. Her credentials include admission to practice in both states, and her resume reflects steady progression from law clerk to firm leadership within a few years of bar admission.
Today she practices as a partner at The Epstein Law Office, P.A., where she works in matters arising in New Jersey and New York. Her career path shows early courtroom exposure, a year in a larger firm setting, and long-term practice at a smaller firm where she holds a leadership role. She maintains her practice across the two jurisdictions in which she is admitted.
