About Antonio
Antonio Quinn took a steady route into criminal law. He earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2003 and later secured licensure to practice in both New York and Florida. He built his early legal training on courtroom practice and client representation, rather than on academic accolades.
After law school, Quinn moved into public defense. In 2007 he joined the Broward County Public Defender’s Office as an assistant public defender. There he represented clients facing criminal charges and gained hands-on experience in trial preparation, client interviewing and courtroom advocacy. The work was fast-paced and often unforgiving. It taught him how to manage heavy caseloads and make split-second decisions that affect people’s lives.
A year later he shifted into private practice management. Since 2008 he has served as the managing lawyer at Quinn Law, P.A. His title reflects both administrative duties and ongoing work for clients. He oversees case strategy, supervises staff and continues to appear in court. Operating a small firm has meant balancing courtroom work with the practical demands of running a practice: intake, discovery, motions practice and client communication.
Quinn’s professional affiliations underscore the area where he spends most of his time. He maintains memberships in the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those organizations offer networking, continuing education and a forum for issues that affect criminal defense practitioners in the state. He is also listed as a member of another professional group.
Colleagues describe Quinn as steady under pressure. He prefers direct preparation over last-minute theatrics. That approach shows up in his case files. Many of his matters involve contested facts and motion work rather than quick plea negotiations. He has handled cases in both state and local courts, and his experience in the public defender’s office informs how he manages client expectations and trial readiness.
Quinn maintains an office in The Trial Lawyers Building. From there he meets clients, prepares for hearings and coordinates with co-counsel. The office functions as both a base for courtroom work and a place for case strategy sessions.
He now concentrates his practice on criminal defense matters in the jurisdictions where he is licensed, representing clients in both New York and Florida.
