Antoinette Raheem is a seasoned mediator, arbitrator, and attorney based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. With over four decades of experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), she has conducted hundreds of mediations and arbitrations. Her areas of specialization include business, employment, tort, civil rights, and domestic educational conflicts. Ms. Raheem earned her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in 1981, a prestigious institution known for its rigorous legal training. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Economics at Princeton University in 1974, laying a strong foundation for her legal career. Admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 1981, Ms. Raheem quickly established herself in the legal community.
Her commitment to improving ADR practices is evident through her active involvement in numerous organizations. She is a member of the Association of Conflict Resolution and the International Academy of Mediators. Ms. Raheem has served on multiple Michigan Supreme Court committees tasked with developing ADR court rules and mediator standards of conduct. As a founding member of PREMi, a collaborative of experienced ADR professionals, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the ADR landscape in Michigan. Notably, she was appointed by federal judges in the Eastern District of Michigan to mediate cases related to the 2014 Detroit bankruptcy, demonstrating her expertise in high-stakes situations. Through her extensive career, Ms. Raheem has made significant contributions to the field of alternative dispute resolution, solidifying her reputation as a leader and innovator.
