About Anthony R.
Anthony R. Girgis began his path to law after completing an undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a B.A. in 2002. He continued his studies at Whittier Law School and received his J.D. in 2006. Those years in school set the foundation for a small-practice career that followed.
He launched his own firm, Girgis Law Office, APC, in 2007. From the outset he chose the responsibilities and trade-offs that come with running a solo practice. That decision put him in charge of both client work and the business side of the office. Over time he has overseen case management, client intake, courtroom filings, and the day-to-day decisions that keep a neighborhood law office functioning.
Girgis is licensed to practice in California and is admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Those admissions frame the work his office can accept. He represents clients in matters brought in California courts and in proceedings filed under the Ninth Circuit’s jurisdiction. He has experience taking cases from intake through filing and, when needed, through appellate briefing in federal court.
Colleagues and clients have described him as practical and straightforward. He tends to favor direct communication and clear explanations. In meetings he aims to outline options and likely timelines. In the office he manages a small team and coordinates outside support when cases require additional resources. He also maintains memberships in professional associations, staying connected to the wider legal community and continuing his awareness of developments in procedure and court practice.
His resume is a compact one. After UCLA and Whittier Law School, he moved quickly into private practice and has run Girgis Law Office, APC, since 2007. The office accepts matters arising under California law and those that may proceed to the Ninth Circuit. He keeps a local practice and handles matters that implicate both state and federal filings. He currently practices at Girgis Law Office, APC, focusing on matters in California courts and before the Ninth Circuit.
