Anthony N. Banker is a trial lawyer based in Anchorage, Alaska, specializing in personal injury and civil litigation. Banker earned his Bachelor of Arts in History, Anthropology, and Geography from Auburn University in 1988. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating in 2000. During law school, he was awarded a Dean’s Honor’s Scholarship and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Gonzaga Law Review. After law school, Mr. Banker began his legal career in maritime law, representing international ship owners, operators, charterers, and P&I Clubs. This experience provided him with insight into the strategies employed by insurance companies to protect their financial interests. In 2006, he established the State of Alaska’s Office of Elder Fraud, investigating over 500 cases and recovering more than $4.5 million for financially exploited elders.
In private practice, Mr. Banker has litigated cases involving negligence, maritime injuries, wrongful death, product liability, insurance bad faith, professional liability, lender liability, and fraud. He is a member of the Leadership Circle for the Alaska Association for Justice and has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, teaching civil litigation. Mr. Banker is admitted to practice law in Alaska, Alabama. Tennessee. He has been recognized for his work, including being named among the National Trial Lawyers' Top 100 Trial Lawyers.
