About Anthony C.
Anthony C. Sears is an attorney who trained on both coasts before settling into practice in the New York–New Jersey corridor. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from St. John’s University in 2013. He then completed his Juris Doctor at New York Law School in 2016. His early academic work placed him among peers focused on courtroom procedure and litigation theory.
Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, Sears launched his career at Camacho Mauro Mulholland LLP in 2016. He moved the following year to the Law Offices of Michael S. Lamonsoff, PLLC, where his title was Managing Litigation Associate. There he handled the day-to-day demands of contested cases, oversaw filings and discovery, and supported trial preparation. Those years established a pattern: he took on both hands-on litigation work and the administrative tasks that keep complex caseloads moving.
In 2020 he stepped into a leadership role as Team Lead Managing Lawyer at Elefterakis, Elefterakis & Panek. Colleagues there gave him responsibility for coordinating team assignments and ensuring deadlines were met across multiple matters. He spent 2021 at Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, contributing to the firm’s litigation practice. In 2022 he joined Shulman & Hill as an associate lawyer. Across those moves, he balanced casework, strategic motion practice and client-facing responsibilities.
Sears participates in professional associations that reflect both his geographic practice area and his interests in the legal community. He holds current membership in the New York Bar Association and in the LGBT Bar Association of New York. He uses those memberships to stay current on developments in procedure and professional ethics, and to maintain a network of courtroom and appellate practitioners.
His resume is built on litigation roles that ranged from managing discovery to courtroom preparation. He has experience supervising junior attorneys and coordinating with expert witnesses and opposing counsel. His work has required attention to procedural detail and the ability to move cases through pretrial stages to resolution.
He currently practices at Shulman & Hill. He concentrates his work on litigation matters in New York and New Jersey courts.
